Revolution 3, Crew 0. That's right.

The Revolution explode for three second-half goals to give a good accounting of themselves and an unusual positive start to a season. Is it possible the Revs will discard their tradition of a last-minute surge, squeaking into the playoffs and improbably reaching the semis?

I missed the first half, but the second half proves quite entertaining indeed. The Revolution move the ball well, although the Crew appear fluid too. As the half wears on, the Crew seem somewhat passive, watching the ball on several occasions.
In the 64th, Dempsey scores off a perfect Jay Heaps cross. Heaps, celebrating his 100th appearance for the Revs today, has been coming forward more and more over the years and this shows him at his lethal best. Props to Dempsey as well for his cool scoring touch.
You would expect the Crew to come back after the goal and press hard, but neither team has too many chances. Then Noonan scores with a diving header in the 82nd, and three minutes later, Dorman scores off a Twellman cross to put the game out of reach. Dorman's goal is quite pretty, he flicks it in with the outside of his right foot beneath the diving keeper.
It's a textbook start for the Revolution, who are off for two weeks before playing again.
